On the island of Giudecca, Maddalena Venier and Alessandro Salvadori have transformed what was once a blacksmith's workshop into an alchemical space of creation, taking up the Venetian tradition of the workshop: a place of work and exchange. Here, they have merged their common vision of "transforming daily work into an expression of unique value" creating collections of original sculptures, furniture items, lamps and fine jewelry exhibited in a small exhibition area in the historic center of Venice. “Materialmente" creations combine fantasy and a dream dimension (with whales and boats) with elements that recall water, ropes, and pearls in an original and elegant manner. The materials and techniques used draw on the experiences of the two artisans: Maddalena Venier comes from the world of jewelry, where she worked as a creative sculptor, also taking care of illustrations for children, while Alessandro Salvadori began with stained glass, adding other elements of furniture such as mirrors, candle holders and light sculptures.
