"Everything that surrounds us is part of us and is a source of inspiration for me, and the study and elaboration are fundamental so that a work does not turn out banal."

With the strength that comes from his forty years of experience, Sigfrido Cipolato is passing on the family goldsmith tradition to his daughter Elena. Together they design and handcraft original jewels in their goldsmith's workshop in the center of Venice, chiseled and worked with particular attention to the study of ancient Venetian, Byzantine, Baroque and early twentieth century styles and techniques. In Cipolato's collections there are rings and pendants with skulls while the earrings and brooches, with ebony and turban heads in English yellow gold, follow the purest Venetian tradition. To make the most of the works, Sigfrido uses magnifying glasses of varying thickness, necessary to achieve the perfection that characterizes their work, which also includes repairs, cleaning, polishing, reappraisal of jewelry and silverware, and the re-shaping of pearl and stone necklaces. Elena is training alongside her father in anticipation of picking up the baton, going on to represent the second generation of the family's goldsmith business whose creations, inspired by various styles, are reworked in a modern key in order to create new and contemporary objects while maintaining the taste, quality and flavor of other eras.
