Marina De Grandis earned a diploma as an Antique Book Restoration Technician in 1991. In the first years she concentrated her work on traditional and artistic bookbinding and on the restoration of books and paper materials. The passion for her work and the right success for her work lead her to open her first store in 1996. The experience gained in bookbinding allowed her to know well the leather, its history, its composition, its characteristics, and its ductility, leading the artisan to combine the activity of bookbinder being a creator of bags, backpacks, wallets, holders and document holders for both men and women, for work and leisure. All of Marina's works are designed, created, cut and sewn by hand. The passion and tradition are evident even just admiring her tools, as simple as those that were found in the workshops when large-scale production did not yet exist. Each piece is unique and in case of special ideas, Marina makes orders on request.
