Artistic silkscreen printing

"Processing depends mainly on the sensitivity and expertise of the printer. There are no exclusive methods, but it is the person who makes the difference."

Fallani Venezia is an artistic serigraphy workshop, active since 1968 in the heart of the city. Giampaolo Fallani runs it, producing art prints in small runs: he is an art serigrapher, the only one in Venice to boast such a prestigious workshop, and son of Fiorenzo from whom he inherited the passion as well as the technique, with the merit of being able to keep serigraphy alive, making prints with incredible colors. The artistic activity of the workshop has always been accompanied by a more commercial activity, which started with the zincography and photolithography created by the founder, and then with the advent of digital technology have transformed some processes. The market has then changed considerably compared to the past, and Fiorenzo's other son has specialized in digital technology allowing for a wide range of printing solutions. Fallani Venezia continues to collaborate with great artists, but also hosts young contemporary artists, painters, sculptors, photographers, illustrators, street artists, and graphic designers who want to try their hand at screen printing. The printing activity is also carried out on commission, offering workshops and residencies of various levels that invite the artist to learn and experience the versatility and potential of this printing technique. As Dr. Toniato says, Fallani Venezia has the merit of having transformed screen printing from an instrument of mere reproduction, to a refined and innovative technique with which artists can create works with chromatic, plastic and even tactile effects.
